Synthesis and characterization of nanostructured materials: metal nanoparticles and functional polymers for applications in optoelectronics, photonics, sensors and biomedicine

Line of research
Synthesis and characterizations of new materials: metal nanoparticles (Au, Ag, Pt) functionalized with organic, organometallic and polymeric ligands; organometallic complexes; nanostructured functional polymers based on organic or organometallic monomers. The spectroscopic and morphological characterization is aimed to the structural bulk and surface definition. These materials are studied for applications ranging from optoelectronics, sensors, photonics, drug and biomolecule immobilization for biomedicine and biocatalysis studies.
