2nd Level Master Degree
Characterization and technologies for the remediation of contaminated sites
The Master is aimed at II level graduates of the Faculty of Science and Engineering who want to deepen the knowledge on the management of contaminated sites. The primary purpose of the course is to train personnel scientifically qualified to participate operationally to the management of contaminated sites, from the development of the characterization plan up to the identification of the most appropriate remediation strategy, with particular regard to the use of "sustainable" technologies.
The professional opportunities offered by the course are varied, covering activities ranging from public administration and audit bodies (involved in the technical and administrative management of polluted sites) to private companies involved in the characterization and remediation of contaminated sites (owners of polluted sites, companies principally engaged in the field of characterization, companies operating in the field of implementation of remediation processes, engineering firms for the design of the interventions).

Forensic Analytical Methodologies
The second level Master Degree in Forensic Analytical Methodologies is provided by the Department of Chemistry of Sapienza University of Rome in cooperation with the scientific investigations department RIS of Rome. The Master aims to develop a real expertise in the field of Forensic Analysis. The ultimate goal is to provide advanced skills potentially expendable to the figure of the Technical Consultant (CTU) or the "Technical Adviser of Party (CTP)," and any training of experts of advanced forensic analysis methods. The multidisciplinary nature of the training of the Master will deep in forensic aspects related to soft skills and can potentially interact with pathologists, lawyers, and all other professionals involved in forensic debates. Practical exercises will complete the experience of teaching.
For the courses and the organization of training activities, the Master uses: a) the educational and scientific expertise of Sapienza University of Rome; b) the professionalism and experience of the structure of Racis (Carabinieri Scientific Investigations); c) the specific contributions of experts and professionals of proven and documented experience.

Methodologies and Processes for Sustainable Chemistry
The Master is aimed at graduates in Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, Biology, Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering.
The Master aims to provide its students, through a multidisciplinary teaching, a solid cultural background on the issues related to sustainable chemistry, its principles, and the assessment of the environmental sustainability of a chemical process.
The training of the students will follow a didactic approach with the aim of providing students with a professionally useful vision of sustainable chemistry in a context of circular economy.
In this sense, the Master makes use not only of the contribution of university professors, but also of “external” teachers, who work in the sector of small and large companies linked to the world of sustainability.
At the end of the course of study, students will be given the opportunity to attend internships in both academic and private research fields, with the aim of applying the concepts studied to real situations, in professional contexts related to sustainable chemistry.
