Dear Colleagues,
I would like to inform you about an exciting Summer Research Program for International Students (i-Scholar) organized by the Department of Chemistry at the University of Rochester. This program provides a unique opportunity for talented undergraduate students from across the world to conduct first-class research in our department for a period of 10 weeks over the summer.
This is the 2nd and last announcement of this program.
I am writing to ask for your help in identifying outstanding undergraduate students that may be interested in participating in this program. Ideal candidates are students that intend to pursue a Ph.D. degree in any area of Chemistry starting from September of 2021 or earlier.
Our 2020 i-Scholar program will run from June 1 to August 7, 2020. Each selected participant will receive a fellowship, which will include a monthly stipend of $1800 USD, health insurance, and a contribution toward travel expenses of up to $1000. The stipend is meant to cover living expenses during the research stay. The University's International Student Office will assist each student in securing on-campus housing and a US Visa for the summer.
This program provides an excellent opportunity for students to conduct cutting-edge research at a top-tier University in the US. In addition, the city of Rochester, New York offers an outstanding array of cultural activities throughout the summer that will enhance the experience of any visiting student. Additional information about this program and a list of Frequently Asked Questions can be found at: http://www.sas.rochester.edu/chm/undergraduate/i-scholar.html

Please share this information with top undergraduate students in your institution and feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the program.
Best regards,
