Production of nanostructured electrodes for electro-catalytic processes and energy storage devices

Line of research
The research is aimed at developing processes for the synthesis and deposition of metal-based nanostructures on planar and porous substrates. The main objective is the elaboration of strategies that allow to control the morphology, structure, and composition of the nanostructures. The experimental optimization of the processes under study (electrodeposition, crystallization) is guided by the definition of mathematical models describing the formation mechanisms of the nanostructures and by the application of the fabricated electrodes in the systems of interest (CO2 electrolyzers, batteries).
