Synthesis of new sensitive multi-stimulus methacrylate copolymers

Synthesis and characterization of new copolymers of methacrylate derivatives functionalized with 2-hydroxyimino-aldehydes RC(=NOH)CHO (HIA) and capable of organizing at the nanometric level in response to different stimuli: temperature variation, pH, light and electron transfer. The peculiarity of these polymers resides in the new functional group RC(=NOH)CHO: on the one hand the oxime group can confer an antibacterial, antiviral or anti-tumor activity, on the other the aldehyde group CHO can act as a support for anchoring any bioactive molecules.
