Irene Antignano

Dottorando in Scienze chimiche XXXV Ciclo
Biography
Irene Antignano was born in Rome on 12/08/1991. In 2015, she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University "La Sapienza" in Rome, carrying out an experimental internship under the supervision of Prof. Daniela Pietrogiacomi; the thesis project concerned the preparation of inorganic solid catalysts by ion exchange (zeolites exchanged with iron and nickel), the characterization and the catalytic activity measurements in the heterogeneous solid-gas phase for the simultaneous abatement of nitrous oxide and oxides nitrogen. In 2018 she obtained, at the same University, the Master's Degree in Chemistry (Organic-Biomolecular address) with final mark 110/110 cum Laude carrying out an experimental internship as part of a project aimed at the synthesis of multi-stimulus sensitive copolymers containing the 2-(hydroxyimino)aldehyde group. Specifically, she presented a thesis entitled "2-(hydroxyimino)aldehydes: computational studies of chemical-physical properties and polymerization tests"; computational studies were conducted under the supervision of Prof. Marco D'Abramo, while the synthesis of a 2-(hydroxyimino)aldehyde model and polymerization tests using the RAFT technique were conducted under the supervision of Prof. Patrizia Gentili and by Dr. Francesca D'Acunzo.
