Biography
Elisa Viola is associate professor at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Rome, La Sapienza. In 2004, she graduated in Chemistry with honors and in 2008 she received her PhD in Chemical Sciences. Since 2009, she has held researcher and teaching positions at the Department of Chemistry of La Sapienza. In 2008, she obtained the national abilitation as associate professor in inorganic chemistry. She corrently teaches "General and Inorganic Chemistry" and "Inorganic Chemistry I" (undergraduated degree in Chemical Sciences). She is author of 42 papers published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, 1 patent, and about 50 contributions in conference proceedings.

Research activity is mainly focused on the design, synthesis, general chemico-physical characterization and photochemical study of novel porphyrazine macrocycles, suitable for biomedical and sensing applications.
