Optimization of analytical methods for the determination of contaminants in complex matrices using HPLC-MS/MS and GC-MS Line of research This research line is aimed to developing innovative, reliable, rapid and sensitive analytical procedures for the determination of regulated and emerging organic contaminants, suspected endocrine disruptors, in complex matrices such as environmental, agri-food, biological, pharmaceutical and packaging. The analytes, isolated from the sample with ad hoc extraction and/or purification procedures, are analyzed by means of separation techniques, mainly chromatographic (GC, HPLC, UPLC) and electrophoretic, combined with classical detectors and mass spectrometry.
