Organic micronutrient profiling of foods and biological fluids

Line of research
The research group studies analytical strategies aimed at the speciation of vitamers or large-scale screening of fat-soluble micronutrients (retinoids, carotenoids, tocopherols, tocotrienols, D-vitamers, phytoquinone, menachinones) by methods based on combined analysis techniques (liquid chromatography-photodiode array-hybrid mass spectrometry detection). Extractive procedures are developed to preserve vitamins and carotenoids in the chemical form in which they are naturally present in foods and biological fluids.
