Design and photophysical characterization of metallo-macrocyclic complexes

Line of research
This part of research involves the design and the photophysical/electrochemical characterization of metal complexes the ligands of which possess an extended network of conjugated electrons and a macrocyclic structure. The purpose of this study is the realization of smart materials which respond selectively to optical signals without incurring in the utilization of an external feedback. The study takes advantage of the favourable combination of linear and nonlinear optical properties in this type of metallo-macrocycle complexes.
