Enzymatic synthesis of bioactive compounds Line of research Cyclobutanols are present in many natural products and are used as chiral intermediates in total synthesis. However, there are few reactions that allow them to be obtained with high enantiomeric excesses. The aim of this research line is, therefore, the synthesis of 2- (hydroxyimino) aldehydes and the development of an asymmetric version of Norrish-Yang photocycling in order to obtain chiral cyclobutanol oximes.
