European Symposium on Biopolymers
ESBP2015
Tuesday, September 15th, at the Museum of Classical Art of the Letters Faculty, opens the "European Symposium on Biopolymers". The European Symposium on biopolymers ESBP is the 8th edition of the bi-annual European Symposium on Biopolymers, whose tradition has started back in 2001.
The worldwide increasing interest in biopolymers production and application (the production of bio-based polymers is expected to reach 12 Mton within 2020, hence almost quadrupled with respect to 2011) makes this “traditional” meeting a primary opportunity to join together scientists and researchers, from both academia and industry, to gain a deeper insight on recent advances in the field, including but not limited to feedstock and production routes, downstream processing, properties and applications, technical-economical analysis, environmental fate and life cycle assessment.
Tuesday, after a guided tour of the Museum, there will be the opening ceremony and welcome cocktail. ESBP 2015 will continue until Friday, September 18th at the Vincenzo Caglioti building (CU032) of the Chemistry Department.
