Biography
Matteo Busato was born in Treviso, Italy, in 1990 and graduated in Chemistry with honours at the University "Ca’ Foscari" of Venice in 2015. In 2020 he obtained the PhD title in "Environmental and Energy Engineering Science" (XXXII cycle) at the University of Udine with honours, discussing the thesis "Structural and Thermodynamic Properties of Transition Metal Ions in Room Temperature Ionic Liquids". In May 2020 he started a research fellowship at the University of Rome "La Sapienza".

Research activity:
The research area of Matteo Busato is mainly concerned with the study of the structural properties of disordered systems (liquids) by means of both an experimental and theoretical approach. In particular, until now his research has been focused on the solvation properties of metal ions in non-conventional solvents (e.g. ionic liquids) by means of X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations.
