Research activity
Scientific area:
Physical chemistry
Research activity:
1. Study of the structure of molecular species in vapor phase produced by vaporization of liquids and / or solids. Different systems have been studied by a jointed theoretical and experimental approach that has allowed to assign and interpret infrared spectra of the molecules. 2. Accurate determinations of molecular geometries by electron diffraction technique. The geometries of a large class of molecules, the derivatives of benzene, have been determined with high accuracy, from the study of their electron diffraction spectrum. 3. Study of the changes of molecular geometry produced by hydrogen bonding. 4. Study of the structure and properties of liquids and solutions by X-ray diffraction and molecular dynamics simulations.
