Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are considered as the vital energy storage system by virtue of their high energy density. Designing suitable electrolytes for LIBs with higher thermal stability, a wider redox potential window, and higher ionic conductivity is one of the key challenges for both researchers and industries. The aim of this project is to develop ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents (DES) as an electrolyte for LIB, particularly through aqueous, green, and one-pot processes.
