The laboratory deals with organic synthesis. The synthetic studies carried out cover different classes of compounds, from those of natural origin to those designed on the basis of specific chemical-physical or biological characteristics required (ionic liquids, bioactive chiral molecules, polymeric
or nanostructured derivatives of essential oils). The laboratory is served by various instruments: analytical and semi-preparative HPLC (UV and RID detector), GC-MS, IR/ATR.
