Sara Alfano was born in Cetraro (CS) on 07/11/1995. In January 2018 she obtained the Bachelor degree in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Rome La Sapienza with a thesis entitled "Synthesis and physico-chemical characterization of lipopeptides", under the supervision of Prof. Anita Scipioni. In January 2020 she obtained, at the aforementioned university, the master's degree in Industrial Chemistry, Polymeric Materials curriculum, discussing a thesis entitled "Extraction and characterization of polyhydroxyalkanoates from mixed microbial cultures" under the supervision of prof. Andrea Martinelli. Since November 2020 she holds a PhD scholarship in Mathematical Models for Engineering, Electromagnetics and Nanosciences, Materials Science curriculum at the Chemistry Department of the University of Rome La Sapienza.
