Marika Di Berto Mancini was born in Rome on June 21th, 1995. She graduated from Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore Statale “Blaise Pascal” of Pomezia (High School with a scientific curriculum) obtaining the maturità scientifica in June 2014. In July 2017, she earned a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry from Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” with a final score of 110/110. She enrolled again at “La Sapienza” and obtained a Master’s Degree in Chemistry (Organic and Biomolecular curriculum) with a final score of 110/110 e Lode in July 2019. Internship periods during both degrees were spent under the supervision of Prof. Stefano Di Stefano, working on a project about the mechanistic and catalytic study of a non-heme imine based iron complexe as catalyst for oxidative processes of aromatic C-H bonds. The master degree project focused on the development and study of a new supramolecular non-heme imine based iron complex, active in the oxidation of aromatic C-H bonds of substrates containing an ammonium group.
