Flavia Buonaurio

Dottorando in Scienze chimiche XXXV Ciclo
Flavia Buonaurio was born in Bracciano (Rome) on November 26, 1992. In 2016 she achieved the Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" with a final score of 105/110, with a thesis regarding the "Extraction, purification and analysis with HPLC/MS-MS of flame retardants" under the supervision of Dr. Francesca Buiarelli. In January 2019 she achieved the Master's Degree in Analytical Chemistry, in the same university, with a final score of 110/110 cum laude. Her internship was performed at ARPA Lazio under the supervision of Dr. Luca Amendola and prof. Andrea Lapi and her thesis has concerned the characterization of an unknown chlorinated contaminant found in the river Sacco (Lazio) through the analysis of real samples and the comparison with synthesized compounds. In 2012, 2013 and 2016 she won a collaboration grant of 150 hours working in the chemistry lab for the courses of qualitative (2012 and 2016) and quantitative (2013) analytical chemistry. She is currently attending a Ph.D course Chemical Sciences at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", funded by INAIL and carrying out her research at the INAIL office in Monte Porzio Catone under the supervision of Dr. Giovanna Tranfo and Professor Federico Marini, her tutor at the University.
