Biography
Camilla Montesano is a researcher in analytical chemistry at the Chemistry Department of University of Rome “La Sapienza” since May 2019. She obtained her Master Degree in Analytical chemistry with a final score of 110/110 in 2010. In 2010 she was research fellow at CNR-ISMN. In 2012 she was visiting researcher for 5 months at the Department of Forensic Medecine of the University of Copenhagen. In 2013 she attained the PhD in analytical chemistry with the following thesis: "Development of novel extraction methodologies for the determination of illicit drugs in biological matrices by LC–MS/MS". From 2014 to 2016 she was research fellow at the University la Sapienza and the University of Padova. From 2017 to 2019 she was a DMPK Junior Researcher at IRBM Science Park.

Research activity: 
The research activity of Camilla Montesano is focused on the development of novel LC-MS(/MS) analytical methods in different fields (forensic, clinical, food etc.). Particular attention is paid to the development of novel extraction techniques (micro-SPE, Micro Extraction on Packed Sorbent, Biomimetic Sorbents, etc).
