About Us

SAXSLab Sapienza is a laboratory for structural characterization which operates the X-ray diffractometer Xenocs XEUSS 2.0, purchased thanks to the grant “Grandi Attrezzature d’Ateneo 2015”.

The instrument is capable of Small Angle X-Ray Scattering (SAXS), Wide Angle X-ray Scattering (WAXS) and Grazing Incidence Small Angle Scattering (GISAXS) experiments (Instrumentation). These techniques are widely applicable for the characterization of matter at the nano- and meso-scale (About the technique).

The laboratory is located in the Department of Chemistry, Cannizzaro Building (Where we are).

To access the facility, please check the section Access to the facility.

The team who is in charge of the SAXSLab (Persone) is available to discuss potential experiments and to start collaborations in case of more demanding data analysis and interpretation.
