Functional molecules on surfaces: production and spectro/microscopic characterization

Line of research
Experimental and theoretical studies on the reactivity of well characterized surfaces (mainly semiconductors) towards molecular and redox species, covalently or supramolecularly linked, and characterized by means of photoemission spectroscopies excited by synchrotron radiation and laboratory sources, micro/nanoscopic studies via SPM, spectromicroscopy. OBJECTIVES: Development of specific properties of materials through surface functionalization at the nanoscale. ACTIVITIES: Measure the composition and the electronic structure of solids by XPS, UPS, Synchrotron photoemission.
